The Morris Care Nursing Home Group is delighted with three nominations for national awards in the prestigious Caring UK and Leaders in Care Awards programmes.
Morris Care is celebrating no fewer than three nominations for national accolades in the Care industry with news that it has been shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious Caring UK and Leaders in Care Awards programmes.
The nursing home group’s Isle Court home in Bicton, Shrewsbury has been shortlisted in the ‘Regional Care Home of the Year Midlands and Wales’ at the Caring UK Awards, which recognises excellence and achievement within the care sector across the UK. Adding to their celebrations, General Manager of the 79 bed Home, Claire Harris (pictured below), is also a Finalist in the Leaders in Care Awards for Registered Manager of the Year.
The Morris Care Nursing Home Group has itself been announced as Finalist in the ‘Care Home Provider of the Year’ Leaders in Care Awards recognising the organisation’s outstanding care over the past 12 challenging months.
Lucy Holl, Chief Executive of Morris Care was thrilled to hear the news of the Finalist nominations: “We are acutely aware of the dedication and commitment of our teams, but it is deeply gratifying to be recognised by our industry peers for all that hard work and endeavour. Claire Harris’s approachable management style and emphasis on teamwork resonates with her staff and has created a genuine family atmosphere at the Good CQC-rated home. Lucy Holl was particularly pleased to hear of Claire’s nomination:

The highly popular and beautifully appointed nursing home with its expansive gardens and rural views, sits just outside the town centre of Shrewsbury.
The winners for Caring UK will be revealed at an awards ceremony, hosted by Emmerdale actor Dean Andrews, at The Athena in Leicester on December 1 and the Leaders in Care winners are to be announced on October 11th. At both events, the industry gathers to salute all that is great about the caring sector and recognise the amazing contribution it makes throughout the year.
