David Walliams' Demon Dentist is at Theatre Severn (September 15 - 18)
15 Sep 2022

The Birmingham Stage Company adaptation of David Walliams' popular children's story Demon Dentist is live on stage at Theatre Severn this September 15 - 18 (multiple showtimes, including matinees).

The stage adaptation of David Walliams' children's book Demon Dentist opened earlier this month, with a premiere at Darlington Hippodrome. Presented by Birmingham Stage Company it is in Shrewsbury from tonight (September 15, 7pm) until September 18 - so catch it while you can!

It's a terrific tale from the West End producers of David Walliams' Gangsta Granny and Billionaire Boy, which were both nominated for an Olivier Award. And by all accounts, this adaptation, by Neal Foster, with music by Jak Poore, promises to be the funniest and most thrilling show yet.

The story centres around Alfie (Sam Varley) who helps care for his invalid father (James Mitchell), and has an aversion to the dentist. Odd things begin to happen in their town, after the arrival of the new dentist Miss Root (Emily Harrigan) who is not quite what she seems.

Children leave teeth under their pillows and get very odd things in return - stinky toenails, toads, bat wings...

Alfie decides to investigate, with the help of Raj the local shopkeeper (Zain Abrahams) and finds himself going up against an evil tooth witch.

“The Birmingham Stage Company has created three amazing adaptations of my books, so I can’t wait to see their new production of Demon Dentist! It’s going to be hilarious, jaw-dropping fun!” - David Walliams
