Design a Tee for Village Water!
08 Feb 2022

Can you Design a t-shirt on the theme of WATER?

Village Water and My Shrewsbury have teamed up to launch a new competition for young Shropshire artists to design a t-shirt to help promote the charity's safe water projects.

The theme of the 'ArTee' competition is of course Water! The competition is for primary school age and under, with a deadline of March 22 - World Water Day!

There is no entry fee, however a small donation to the charity is more than welcome.

The winners will get a tee featuring their amazing artwork and it will be available for anyone around the world to buy from the Village Water shop!

The competition will be judged by Beth Llewellyn from Village Water, My Shrewsbury magazine editor Katy Rink and local artist Sam Pooley Tolkien.

Two winners will be chosen. Each winner will get their design made into a t-shirt for sale on Both winners will also win an age-appropriate prize each, kindly donated by Sam Pooley Stride and Write Here.

All profits from t-shirt sales will go to Village Water projects in Zambia and Mozambique. Village Water has partnered with Teemill to create the t-shirts. Teemill only use natural materials in their products, renewable energy is used throughout their supply chain and t-shirts are made to order, so no wasted products. Once your t-shirt is eventually worn out you can send it back as part of their recycling scheme.

Download your template from the Village Water website HERE and get drawing! You must submit your entry via the form on the website, or drop a completed template at Write Here, 10 High Street, Shrewsbury before March 22. Write Here will also have templates for you to pick up.
