The Shrewsbury based collective DRAWN has been expertly curated by local artist Cherie Jerrard to bring you the best of our creative community this Christmas.
Through her biannual arts collective events, Cherie has enabled a warm and supportive climate for talent to cross-pollinate and flourish.
The event at Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings on November 18th & 19th will include artisan, handmade and locally designed products, gifts, art, illustration, jewellery, fashion, ceramics and homewares.
Festive workshops include the chance to make a Christmas wreath, and fashion your own Kaweco pen (in funky fox orange!), which would make a great personal Christmas gift. Workshops should be booked online before the event via www.DRAWN.live
With 45 different stalls to browse each day and a variety of styles and products, there’s a good chance you’ll find something unique and special (for those awkward relatives, perhaps?!). And you’ll get to meet the makers too, including artist Linda Edwards (of Sunnyside Art and beautiful golf leaf paintings) and Matt Sewell, plus Risdon & Risdon, with beats from DJ Raggs.
“The amazing amount of talent here in Shropshire makes DRAWN very special,” Cherie said. “Add some guests from all around the UK and you have a must see event!
“Many of our stallholders have upcycled and used recycled items making this the ideal way to shop sustainably. Products have been made locally, especially for DRAWN, making this a very planet friendly way to do your Christmas shopping.”
Fancy some jewellery or wallets made out of bicycle tyres and clothes from vintage fabrics?
There will be refreshments on offer too thanks to the onsite Turned Wood Cafe plus Beefy Boys (Saturday) and the Mac Man on Sunday with his Macaroni dishes to warm everyone up, along with treats from The Good Egg Bakery.
