Our restaurants are opening up!

...and by the looks of the weather this week, it couldn’t be better timing.

We’ve been eagerly anticipating May 17th, marking the re-opening of indoor dining in our town - finally, no need for waterproofs!

From sashimi to salumi, Shrewsbury has every cuisine covered - just remember to book in.

If you’re struggling for inspiration, here’s just a few of the town’s vibrant new offerings and favourite gems, all opening their doors this week. You can find a directory of Shrewsbury restaurants over at Original Shrewsbury

Glouglou and petit glou

Petit Glou

A mini version of GlouGlou wines (Castle Gates) Petit Glou has just opened on the top floor of The Market Hall. Serving artisan sharing boards and natural wines & you can even choose your bottle next door at Iron & Rose.

Owner Robin Nugent said: "We’re so excited to have glouglou waking up again and petitglou coming to life. We can’t wait to share what we love with our customers. Our heroes are the wines we sell, that really speak of the amazing places and talented people that made them.

"The food we offer is the supporting cast and crew, essential to the piece and always made by us or chosen with care. We’ve been working on a few new things over the last few months and have introduced a bigger and better daytime offer for petitglou - beautiful pour over coffee, amazing cakes and savoury tarts and our own house focaccia."
