Monty Lit Fest returns this summer just up the road in Montgomery, celebrating writing from Wales, the Borders and beyond and hosting bestselling novelists (pictured here).
Monty Lit Fest will celebrate all kinds of writing and writers in the week of June 10-12 just up the road in Montgomery.
Bestselling crime fiction novelists Janice Hallett (The Appeal and The Twyford Code) and Sophie Hannah (of The Couple at the Table) will be taking part during the festival, which features 20 sessions with authors over three days of culture and conversation.
The literary festival prides itself on celebrating writing from Wales, the Borders and beyond with a wide range of sessions, covering everything from fiction, poetry and music, to farming, history and nature.
There's also a children's session (free for up to four children per adult with a ticket) and two writing workshops covering writing for radio and food writing.
The finale on Sunday afternoon is a 'literary cricket tea', to celebrate Montgomery Cricket Club's 175th anniversary, featuring writings Marcus Berkmann and Roger Morgan-Grenville.
Festival Chair and Trustee Sarah Morris said: "After two years of running sessions online, we can't wait to hold the festival in person again. We're excited to launch such a wide-ranging programme that really does offer something for everyone. We look forward to welcoming book lovers to Montgomery to meet some amazing authors."
The Monty Lit Fest is run by the Montgomery Literary Festival Trust. Founded in 2018, it aims to celebrate writing from Wales, the Borders and beyond.
