New Weekly Podcast Featuring Local Music
25 Oct 2023

Simon Berry and Michaela Wylde are launching a new weekly music podcast called ‘The Salopian Mixtape’.

These local music enthusiasts have been supporting the development of Shropshire’s musicians for years and have 14 years of radio experience between them.

The Salopian Mixtape aims to support, share and promote the music industry in Shropshire. Simon and Michaela will be utilising their extensive experience and contacts to create something both entertaining and of great benefit for the artists, venues, events and music shops that make our local area so special. They want to collaborate with Shropshire’s music businesses.

They are calling out for a varied collection of locally produced music to be sent into TheSalopianMixtape.com, which could then be featured on the weekly one hour podcast. They will also feature live sessions recorded at an Albert’s Shed venue, and interviews with artists.

The team have announced that The Salopian Mixtape will available via an online podcast every Wednesday night, plus the podcast will be also be broadcast on Shropshire Live on Friday nights.

On Thursday, November 23rd, Michaela and Simon will be officially launching the podcast at Albert’s Shed in Shrewsbury. The night will see a lineup of four local artists, on-stage interviews and one lucky ticket holder will get the chance to feature as a presenter on a future podcast for The Salopian Mixtape. Tickets are available from Albert’s Shed website.
