Shrewsburys' very first Illustrators’ Fair DRAWN is coming to Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery on June 19th.
After a year of stacking up pieces in lockdown, a group of Shropshire’s brilliant illustrators will showcase new designs and declutter their studios!
You can expect to find one-off prints, unique designs, inspirational homewares and gifts from a range of local talent. There are quite a few familiar faces in there from My Shrewsbury magazine too.
Whilst adults and families have the chance to ‘Ramble and Rummage’ for a bargain or one-off print, kids can keep entertained at the crafts area, where they'll find children’s book illustrations, collaging and even ‘The Walking Dead’ Zombie comic colouring, courtesy of Shrewsbury cartoonist Charlie Adlard, for those that are brave enough!
Chérie Jerrard, who came up with the idea of hosting DRAWN, said, "The fair exhibits a gathering of illustrators who have continued to strive creatively during challenging times. This is a great chance to meet, share, buy and celebrate the amazing talent that is based here in Shropshire. DRAWN is an ideal opportunity to get a last-minute Father’s Day card, bargains for birthdays or art to enhance your home."
Each visitor will receive a free goody bag sponsored by WriteHere, containing unique gifts, contributed by each of the artists, including a temporary tattoo!
