Excitement has been building about the Shropshire Tasty Trail on Sunday, May 23rd - an eight-mile walk in the beautiful countryside outside Shrewsbury, with three stops along the way for delicious food and drink!
The trail starts and finishes at Upton Magna Village Hall (SY4 4TZ) and walkers will enjoy a tasty course made with local ingredients at each stop, washed down with the finest regional ales and ciders. There will also be the added bonus of exploring tracks the public aren’t usually allowed to go on, as well as live music along the way!
Organiser Beth Heath, Director of Fun at Shropshire Festivals, says “The walk will be suitable for all fitness levels and it will be an enjoyable, community-spirited event for families, friends, loved ones and workmates. It will be the perfect opportunity to take in beautiful views across Shropshire, whilst keeping active and supporting Shropshire’s food and drink producers.”
In keeping with current Covid regulations, each of the stops will be in ‘the great outdoors’ so appropriate clothing and sun hats are advised! There are timed slots to book onto and people will be released at the allotted time to spread walkers out. If the ‘roadmap’ to lifting restrictions doesn’t go ahead as planned and the event has to be postponed, full refunds or the option to move to a new rescheduled date will be offered.
Tickets for the walk are £29.50 per person, including a three-course meal along the trail and different alcoholic drink at each stop. Tickets are limited and expected to sell out quickly, so book your timed slot now!
