The average household could save £700 a year by reducing their food waste - a staggering one third of food produced is waste and 70% of this food waste happens in our homes - our fridges, fruit bowls and bread bins.
Reducing food waste is Shrewsbury Food Hub's super power! To join the new Taste NOT Waste challenge all you have to do is watch a series of short videos starring Steve Guy AKA 'The Hungry Guy' as he gives invaluable tips on how to save money and make the most of the food that we buy.
If you sign up, the videos will arrive in your inbox every other day for a fortnight.

Shrewsbury Food Hub is an environmental charity focused on reducing food waste. The Hub collects surplus food that is perfectly good to eat from farmers, manufacturers and supermarkets and gets it put to good use in our community. Last year, it diverted 175 tonnes of food from landfill – the equivalent of 416,000 meals! The Food Hub does a great job of mopping up the 30% of food waste from farmers, manufacturers and supermarkets
around Shrewsbury but with your help, it can tackle the food waste that happens at home as well!
