The return of live theatre!

At last! Welcome back Theatre Severn - and what a fabulous programme of live events you have lined up for us this summer!

The theatre has been closed since December 30 but will reopen from May 21, initially with a film programme including Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway and Nomadland.

In July, Shropshire’s legendary Dame Brad Fitt returns to lift the lid on his favourite tales from the world of pantomime, and musical theatre star Jodie Prenger revives her stunning performance as ‘Emma’ in the UK tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s classic Tell Me on a Sunday.
The spooky sensation and West End hit The Woman In Black makes its debut in Shrewsbury on 16 – 21 August. And Strictly Come Dancing Stars Anton Du Beck and Giovanni Pernice will join forces to perform their brand-new show Him & Me. Due to demand, an extra performance has been added on Sunday 11 July.

Theatre Severn’s sister venue, The Old Market Hall, will continue to run a Café Bar outside in The Square, with plans to re-open indoor seating soon, although the OMH cinema remains closed for now.

A season of outdoor family theatre has also been announced at Shrewsbury Castle during July and August. Packed with fun, puppets, music and audience participation, Hotbuckle will perform Emotion on the Ocean on Sunday 25 July. Swashbuckling family adventure The Three Musketeers will be performed by Immersion Theatre on Sunday 1 August, before Quantum Theatre bring the classic pirate tale Treasure Island to life on 10-11 August.

Tickets for forthcoming events are available online at theatresevern.co.uk or by telephone (01743 281281).
