Ashes Under Uricon is a balcony exhibition at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery open from September 8th to December 17th 2023
An exhibition exploring works inspired by the Roman City at Wroxeter.Based upon Roger White's new book, the exhibition looks at how people over time have viewed the abandoned Roman city and explored its story, not only through archaeology, but also as an inspiration for art, poetry and story telling. The exhibition culminates by looking at how this important ancient site continues to shape our understanding of the past through projects such as our Archaeology Lab.
