About this event
The Shrewsbury Streetscape Project has been running for five years. It's a tremendous legacy from the pen of Shrewsbury architect James St.Clair Wade who aims to record the entire historic streetscape of our town in a series of unique architectural views - the whole length of each street can be seen simultaneously in his drawings, recording a particular moment in town, complete with contemporary shops and businesses.
Wyle Cop, High Street, Mardol, Quarry Place, St. John's Hill, Shoplatch, Pride Hill, Castle Street, Castle Foregate, St. Mary's Place, St. Mary's Street, Windsor Place, Dogpole, the south side of Town Walls, Milk Street, and Belmont are now complete.
James still has a few more years to go, but this is a chance to see a stunning body of work - and to see if you can spot your business or your home amongst the streets of Shrewsbury!
See the exhibition at The Hive, Shrewsbury from February 17th until March 12th, 2024. (Private View/Exhibition Tour on February 16th from 6.30pm to 8.30pm - contact firstname.lastname@example.org)
